That really sucks. And to be a parts truck. Do change the ad to say burnt up 2/4 band or broke Sunshell in the 700r4. No 2-4 clutch pack exists. Has it got to go right away for where it's parked or need the cash right away or what? Maybe a member here in a neighboring state could get it and not have to worry about referee. I'd be all over it, but It'll probably be June before I get that way. My daughter and SIL and hoping to take the kids to Disneyland in June, so I'd be in So Cal. If they tow a little trailer, I'll bring a friggin trans with me, prolly a Th350 and maybe the one out of the K1500 since it's going to be converted to A833 manual anyway. How far is the Burb from Los Angeles? I"ll drive the bitch back to OKC @ 70mph with 3.42's and NO OD and make it my DD, and maybe even make it the A33, Manual 4 speed OD truck. That would be a bad ass Burb. Manual 4 speed with OD. :waytogo:

Or at least someone more local, Oregan, Neveda etc, buy it. Put a trans in it and rock it.

^^^I really wish I was closer by I'd pick it up in a heartbeat from ya and ensure it continues to get the love an attention it deserves. I really hope it doesn't just turn into someones hunting/mudding/fishing rig where they just tear it up and hack it up :(

bout 700 miles up the coast by the Or border.
It leaks from somewhere up front of the trans...thats what caused this.

That Burb starts and runs to get on a trailer or car hauler huh? I just wonder how much it would cost to have shipped here? I have no clue what those kind of rates go for. I sure to hope to some spendable cash by June and I'd like to have that thing, but distance seems to be an issue. Even with 700 miles from LA, that's a pretty good ride in fuel expense. And to drive there and tow it back in the 84 C20 would be about $1500 in fuel, killing that deal.

I too don't want it to end up being someone's hunk of ****. I'd DD the thing. It's not perfect showroom condition, but good enough I wouldn't think it needs a paint job anytime soon.

Don't we have members in Oregan, Washington, Nevada that would be interested in it? Post in our Classifieds Jim here on the forum.

I was hoping for more like $400-$500. Dunno, with the distance might hurt, but I'd sure like to have a Rust Free, TBI 4x4 Bucket Seat Burb. Prefer Mini Quad and 3/4 ton, but I've got plenty of 3/4 ton axles.

And we can all meet up in G-town. Me, Jim, HR, Foamy, Raylnr and any other member that wants to make that trek.

Or I can store the 'burb here. HR can send down a trans and I can install it and he can drive it back home.

Sounds like a party to me. :big_banana_Dance::big_banana_Dance: I"ll throw in a few hundred to help your fuel cost getting to GTown.

Yeah, no kidding. The original colour appears to have been black; steering wheel, radio, hood trim and a few other non-original parts; warped and faded door panels and seats; distributor cover missing on the TPI; 1986 hatch and a 5.7 TPI emblem and who knows what else.
