I forgot to mention my latest CL transaction. A guy had a Th400 in a 92 that went bad. He wanted a 700r4 to go back in it. So I hit him up for a Core swap. He said yes, and said he'd get it pulled. After he pulled it, he emailed me and said forget it, his bellhousing was cracked. I figure he dropped it and let it fall out of the truck. I said, well, I just want it for the hard parts and have plenty of 700r4's so as long as it's got a 6 bolt pump that I need for 1 trans to keep from tearing down one of my complete 400's just the pump, and I can use a direct drum to have another complete set of hard parts, that I'd do the swap anyway to help him out. It turned out to be a truck bolt on yoke short shaft deep pan all I needed, and he gave me the HD conveter core too along with his driveshaft with the Th400 slip yoke and special U joint since he was going to have to get a dshaft made for the 700r4 anyway. I'm happy with it. Ready to tear it down and complete another Th400 without having another Th400 sitting around wo a pump on it.
Since he was just looking for a stock build, I gave him one of my 84 model 700r4's that I'll never use since I only use 87 and ups, preferred 88 and ups. So I got rid of 1 would never use, and got some parts I will use. Win for me, Win for him.
