Hell he is asking for problems with the size of the bowtie, he is drastically going to change the cooling capabilities of both the motor AND the Transmission. :shitsweek:

He's just trying to make his grill ornament match his belt buckle. He's from TX ya know. :roflbow:

I've been talking to this guy via email. I'm fairly certain I'll end up with this.

http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/pts/2734503321.html

He's almost positive its a 4.10 Ratio, and is certain its 8 lug with auto hubs out of a late 70s Chevy. So this with my 4.10 Full Float, I think I'll put in the 85 K10 in place of the wussy wagon 10 bolts with 3.08's.

A d44 would not have auto hubs, just drive slugs for full time operation.

That's what I was thinkin Andy. I bet it came from a NP203 truck. I wonder how hard it will be to convert to manual locking hubs??? Surely not that hard huh???

I think it's just a direct swap. If you get it, wasn't there somebody here looking for one or two of the chrome caps?

If I do, whoever it was will be welcome to them for shipping if they come on this axle.
I'm beggining to think I might just like a truck with an NP203 full time 4wd. This is for the second 4x4 anyway. Won't be a daily driver like I intend to do with the 85 K1500. I like the idea of the Hi Lok and Lo LoK of the NP203. Or, maybe I need to do more research on T cases, but I want one that will be solid and locked with equal power to both axles.

She don't know what she's talking about. Its not an 89 for certain. :shitsweak:

I should call about it...Maybe she's cute.

It's an '85-87...Or '88 1 ton...Some early '88 3500 RCLBs were still the R/V body.
