I'd love to have a 5 speed but the wife can't drive a 5 speed so whatever we have has to be auto FML!!!

I'd be thinking Goody, I can finally have my very own truck. When I met my wife, she was 18, I was 29. I had 3 trucks at the time. One of them being a 95 F150 5 speed 300 I6. It was brand new, as was my 95 Silverado Xcab, then I had the 64 GMC which has a Quicksilver ratchet shift, and lots of horsepower that I wasn't going to let this little 95lb 18yo girl drive. I figured all she could drive was my brand new 95 Silverado Xcab. So it pretty much became her truck to drive for about 5 months, then I drove the New Ford F150 gear shifter truck. One day, I was changing the oil and rotating tires on the 95 Silverado, she needed to go pick up my daughter from school and just asked for my keys. I busy and not thinking, just gave her my keys and she drove off in the Ford. 15 minutes later, she comes back home. By that time, I realized, WTF ? She can drive a manual trans? And I've been driving this damn gear shifter truck all this time everyday, even when I wanted a break and drive my nicer truck occasionally. :roflbow: Needeless to say, I ended up getting to drive my nicer truck a bit more frequently and she didn't mind shifting gears on occasion and thought it was fun to drive.

I try to be aware of it because I'd rather she drive mine and keep the miles off the burb when she runs errands at night on her own.

Both of those would be good projects. Great price on the 4x4 short bed. He'll sell that quick. And its a 4 speed. Damn, I want a 4 speeds fobuhfo. I've talked myself out of it though. Bad back, and Autos are so damn cheap to find and build. I can break an auto every month and other than get sick of installation, be ahead of the game going with a manual. :shitsweak:
