Oh yeah, cuz all they got was a stereo head unit and if equiped, they got a cassette deck in the center of the dash. Damn, I hated that too. I had an 88, and 3 differant 93's and a 94. I was so happy when the 95's hit. I kid you not, I was following a car transport down I-35 in about Aug of 94, maybe Sept can't recall now, seems like they hit the lots late, so probably September, I could see the round dash as I was passing, and said, whoa nelly !!! I slowed down to get a better look, changed lanes got on the other side of it, couldn't see alot but enough to know it was differant and I wanted it. I followed that truck for 22 miles and seen it get off the highway and said, Cool, I hope its going to Spencers. It sure did. I asked for permission to jump up on the trailer and look at the 2 Indigo Blue trucks. I told the salesman, hey, don't unwrap these 2 trucks, I'll be back at 7pm tonight, and I'm buying one of those. Not sure which one yet, but if you let New Car Prep touch either one of those, deal is off. I want to unwrap it myself. Just park them out back side by side, don't even put the stickers in the windows. Of course I fugged up by being so admant that I was buying one of them. That took away my negotiating power cuz they knew they had me sold already. Well, I got all pissy and said, F this crap, about he said, she said, back and forth, get that damn manager in here now with the invoice, I am buying a damn truck tonight whether its here or somewhere else, now that I know they have hit the lots, and I'm running out of time, other dealers close at 9 and Howard is open til 10, so get right, or let me go. No kidding, 10 minutes later, I signed on the dotted line at Invoice price and took one home. I still felt like I paid to much, cuz I never pay invoice even, but still being a new model and they only had a total of 3, 2 blue and a white one, I felt good to get Invoice, but I may very well have been the first person in OK to own a round dash GMT 400. Then I had it 6 months and traded in for a 95 2500HD Xcab 6.5 4x4 with NV4500. Wife didn't like it, so 4 months after that, the 96 and Vortech came out, so I got the same truck as my first 95 in the 96 except the Vortech and locking diff, had that about 5 months, then traded for a 96 Crew Cab Dually 2wd, blah blah, I've have way to many new trucks. Sorry bout the rat hole, just saying, I was happy to get away from the 88-94 dash.
