Here is my Dana 44 4.10 8 lug front, and another 4.10 14Bff for $250. I think if he'll take $200 I'm, gonna go get it and rock it in the 85K10. Then I can sell the 14B FF 4.10 that I have, along with the 3.08 10 bolt front and rear axles out of the K10. Surely I can get my money back selling the 14b ff I have, and the 2 front and rear 10b axles that are in it now. Then I'll have what I want in that truck too. :party36:

Be sure to look at the brake components before you buy, you could have a lot tied up in that to get them ready for use. I would offer him scrap value, about $125 and see if he'll go below $200.

If he still has them, I might. The worst he can do is get offended. The ad was a bit dated, so they may be gone, but if he still has them, then that means they are slow movers and he might take less. I have emailed and ask for a couple of pics and told him if they look decent in the pics I'll come take a look and pick them up. I might even see if he'll just take $100 for the D44. I have the 14B FF 4.10 rear end already. Hopefully he'll split them up. If he doesn't then that's when I'll low ball his ass !!!

I screwed up in the past, I went and looked at a 76 truck with 14bFF/D44/Np203 and Th350 w dshafts. Engine was gone. Body was rough as hell and the guy wanted $300 for it. I was conncered about another truck in the backyard at the time and it had just rained for a week straight so I knew I'd tear the yard up like no other getting it back there, so I kinda hesitated for a second and the dude sold it to another guy that was beating his door down for it. I'd have liked to have had that 4x4 Th350 and I need a front dshaft for the 85K10 too. Shoulda, woulda, coulda !!!

The guy just emailed me back and says the driveshafts are there too, and he ended up not using the cab and part of the front clip off the truck and has a title to it too that now goes with it. Sooooo, maybe I should just use the 3/4 ton frame too and transfer my cab, front clip and bed off my 84 and 85 C20 projects to this thing. I'd have to use a 73-80 front bumper is all the way I understand it. Then I use his title and cab to scrap one of the C20 frames and other parts to get my money back. If I did that, then I can sell my 85K10 roller chassis and body. Apparently all it needs is, motor, trans, tcase and front driveline.

So... I've got this truck. It has 4 wheels. it starts. You can even drive it. That's about the extent of my knowledge.

Bad news:

Power steering is out
There's some kind of tranny issue that makes it shake like a ****
The title got lost somewhere along the way

Good news:

It has doors
It goes vroom
Not completely embarrassing to drive
CHEAP AS HELL

If you'd like to take a look at Mel the Classy Hobo, gimme a yell. I can't really answer any questions, won't have pics until I get home and did I mention I know nothing about engines?

question Mr Tool Guru....When my grandpa died about 10 years ago I got quite a few of his tools. In that there's this Montgomery Wards socket set that is virtually untouched and probably never used called "Power King" or something gay like that. Are these el cheapo pieces of crap or ????
