Just found a new Spectra Fuel tank on the local CL (DFW-Waco). Model number GM 14B. It fits Carb trucks from the early 80's (don't know about 73-79 models). If anyone needs a replacement tank, let me know. I travel to NY a couple times per year thru AR, TN, KY, OH, & PA to NY. Then South thru E. PA, WV, VA, NC to SC to visit family. Then home thru GA, AL, MS, LA. I would be happy to pick it up and bring it to you if you're along my route. Price is only $60 for the tank, + a couple dollars for the diesel for me to go pick it up. Includes Locking Ring. Next trip is in April.

One of the best deals I've seen lately. Clean California truck, 3/4T 4x4 with the 4L80. Asking price of $7500. You could send this back east and double your money.

That thing is super clean, but IDK about "doubling" your money. i like the woodgrain dash, but carpet dash cover and steering wheel cover make me suspicious to begin with, suprised the seats aren't covered too. Ain't nobody gonna pay 15k for a 1991 especially with Cali emissions. Maybe if it was a federal truck with round eyes or something. But that is a lot of money. The asking price ain't bad, but even here in the land of rust, DOUBLING that would be hard, Cali emissions is a knock against price, and IDK about out there but up here (at least with the many many people I have met) 89-91 with the new front end and side moulding and interior are kind of "black sheep" vehicles. Not really a classic like a cool old round eye or even stacked headlight truck, but not new enough to fall inline with "nice modern-enough daily driver". From what I've seen people kinda emotionally lump them in with GMT400 trucks and there is zero sentimental or cool factor draw to them. I know the GMT400s are starting to gain in popularity for some reason, but luckily not around here. People still view them as "those cheap crappy 90s GMs".

Yep, it's nice and surprised it's still listed.
I don't think you could double your money either. Maybe skysurfer knows the right people that would pay that much.
I've always liked that grille, and have seen others swap them into older squares.

For someone wanting a squarebody with a factory 4L80 overdrive, '91 is the only game in town. A solid front axle calls out to buyers that don't trust the pushbutton-on-the-dash 4x4, so it can't be lumped in with the GMT400 line. This year also had different mirrors from previous years. Not saying they're better or worse, just that some people prefer something different. It's obvious that this was used as a tow vehicle so the covers on the dash and steering wheel are most likely preventative, not a means to hide anything. And "California Emissions" (gasp) what exactly are you expecting? You'll find pcv, egr, air pre-heat, fuel evap, and a cat. A Federal emissions '91 should have the same setup. There's certainly nothing there emissions-wise to scare off an informed buyer.

I've seen some pretty rusted out piles go for more money than common sense should allow. Not everyone has the time or ability to take on a vehicle that needs new rocker panels, cab corners, wheel wells, etc., some owners just want to turn the key and drive. Heck, this one doesn't even need paint, that's $5K saved right there! Yeah, you could buy a rust belt special and bring it up to this level, but you'll have more than $15K into it. GMSB members are, by nature, a bunch of penny-pinching do-it-your-selfers, but there are buyers out there that would rather just write a check and be done with it.

You are right about everything you stated. But do you have to call us names? (You are right about the name too.)

It's that time of year when the idiots try to claim on "fools" gold. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they're nice trucks, but DAMN.
