I like looking at cars around the world. Some places got such cooler GMs than we did.

I noticed the enclosed cab blazer, I assume thats something they did over there?! Very neat. I was looking into a jeep "brute" kit that does the same thing to a wrangler and it was 10 grand for a bunch of sheet metal.

Thanks to this forum I have realized that myself too. I'd really like to get a hold of a 4cyl diesel square body.

I also wonder how GM built their vehicle according to safety standards in other countries. I have a 2nd cousin, who was military in Germany years and years ago, like 30 years ago. He had a Beemer he loved and wanted to bring it to the states when he came home. After checking into having it shipped to USA, he found out he needed to get it inspected. Not only for emissions, but for safety requirements too. I forget the long list of stuff he had to do to it, like coolant recovery even, but I remember every piece of glass was going to have to be replaced. Now this is way back then, but it was going to cost over $1800 just to have the glass replaced. The glass would have had to have been shipped from USA to Germany, then installed before putting the car on a ship bound for USA. I thought that was crazy. So why not let the car come here, and let him do all those mods here where the parts were much cheaper, in stock and he could do the work hiself after he got here and settled. No customs agent would approve his car for shipping. So he sold it there in Germany, and when he got home, got him a similar Beemer here in the states.

Aw **** you would have loved it. It was a fire engine red 90 soumtin chevy p/u wit a '79 step side bed. Mashed potato round box cab with a pre 80's square stepside can on the back, looked silly ass.
ugh....It's probably best I didn't get to see it! :D

I always loved that blue and grey 2 tone, and the black and silver. Of course I wind up with friggin grey and red.

I like you're grey and red. To me that's a good color combo

Why are you searching in Europe?

Maybe Retro plans on going back packing through Europe sometime and instead of walking back he'll pick up a square over there! :D
