Here is an old flashback about the brush guard. I was telling my son that back in the day guys would buy the brush guards that had to be bolted together. They would assemble one end and the pour sand or concrete down in the cross tubes to beef them up. Anyone else remember hearing about someone doing that back in day or is this a regional thing around here? IIRC it was also because of deer-car/truck accidents as well. In any event my son was laughing about it. He was shaking his head. Ahh the good old days.

i've witnessed guys mixing concrete, sure do feel sorry for anyone involved in that wreck. i've heard of the sand trick as well.

i've witnessed guys mixing concrete, sure do feel sorry for anyone involved in that wreck. i've heard of the sand trick as well.

Someone filled my old tube grill with sand and concrete. I was amazed at how heavy it was.
