So these rims are basically what "makes it" for me.
Those have always been on it. They're the factory wheel, anything different just wouldn't be "my suburban"

I wanna get them Shiney again, I know they're a dull aluminum so there's only so much I can do. I don't want chrome colored wheels anyway.

But does anyone have any tips for cleaning these guys up?

In the 2 pics, one has brake dust all over and is dirty, the other is kinda just tinted yellowish. All 4 wheels look about the same, dirty, nasty.

I've tried power washing to no avail.

I also want to replace the emblem in the center cap.
Anyone got a recommendation for new ones?

Thanks guys.

I think the fix is to machine the old clear coat off and reapply new clear coat. Just be careful to not machine the lip too small.

I haven't purchased any, but LMC has new center caps here. I've bought a lot from LMC and haven't been disappointed in anything yet except some of their prices.

By machine, you are saying put it in the lathe and turn it off? Seems like alot of work

Seems like my old ones have a blue background rather than black, but it's hard to tell.

There are a lot of shops that will machine your wheels and make them like new,
Then get rid of the hex bolts on the center caps that are prone to rust

Around here it costs about $150 per wheel to refinish to like new condition. Almost impossible to get the same result doing it by yourself. If you don't want to spend the dough, going through several laborious steps can make them much better. Wet sand starting with 1500 on a sponge block following the circle of the rim. Next 1000 and so on. When the corrosion has been eliminated take some aluminum polish and steel wool ( 3zero and 4zero) and continue. you will need to spray several coats of clear (Rustoleum works well) to keep corrosion from returning. Wool polishing wheels and bits in a drill can help in some areas. Good luck.

You could get them powdercoated a similar color to the clear coat aluminum. Not sure if there is such a thing but I've never looked.
