I'm having a dumb idea time again... basically I want to have louder speakers/subs in my truck, however, i don't particularly want to spend much money on it right now.
I have a boat that happens to have a amp (rockville phenom rxmf4) that is paired up woth 4x rockville 500w speakers. I'm thinking about taking 2 of the speakers with the amp and puting them in my truck. 2 is all i can fit. Also 2400w seems like a bit much and 1000w I belive could/would work in a truck like this?
My truck has one of thoes fancy "look like" the original radio but isn't, from coustom autosound.
So biggest question is. Could I do something like that? Use the amp and 2 of the speakers in my truck?

I don't know about the amp recommendation, but I wouldn't be opposed to using boat speakers at all.

There’s nothing “special” about marine rated speakers aside from being more resistant to moisture and the elements.
And having too much amp is not a problem unless you use too much of the power compared to speaker rating. But that’s just tuning and how you hook it up.

Should be fine as long as it sounds good to you, and you can drive right across that lake

Please use quality wire and something much better than what has been used in the boat.
Those are teeny tiny wires for your sound system.

You can most certainly use the boat stuff in your truck as like mentioned above it is just more water resistant.
