I recently bought a replacement blower motor but it didn’t come with a gasket. An old LMC Truck video on YouTube shows an installation with a pre-cut gasket. From looking around at various vendors, it seems that most replacement motors don’t come with a gasket. Olde Carr Guy on YouTube used foam tape to make his own gasket. I’m tempted to do the same.

What do you recommend?

Foam tape or some dumdum should do the trick
Yeah, like you use to seal the halves of the evaporator case. I don't recall ever seeing a gasket on any of our squares (and with 8, we changed a few blower motors).
My OBS trucks don't use a gasket either, but that's probably because they ground through the case.

based on the blower motors ive seen, i would use a little butyl rubber to make removal easy in the future and make it reusable, but do squares ground the motor through the case? you could always use a braided wire or wire off the bolts holding it on to ground if you disturb the metal to metal.

Back in the day at our parts store, we had a box of it from one of the HVAC parts suppliers. Strings of it, laid on wax paper between the layers.
Is that stuff still available?.. Where? Used a lot of it "back in the day"(way back) ...lol.. to seal up various things.
