Best lift value

Is this the best lift out there for my money? Im not doing any major offroading, just trying to clear the 33s I have on. Currently have a body lift on that is going to come off. I'm curious why that says 77+. Makes me wonder if its only compatible with the Corporate 10 bolt.

They have one for 73-76 half tons also, but idk what the difference is.

The difference is in the front U bolts. The corporation frontends use a 3 inch while the Dana 44's are 2 7/8 inch.

Mines a 10 bolt so I guess it would work alright. Now I just need to find body mounts.

Check Rough Country's spring rate before you buy. I had a set and hated them but that was before they started marketing the "luxury ride" springs. Could just be the same old springs with some bs the advertising guys came up with so do your research and compare them to Tuff Country's EZ-Rides.

I will check that out. I have heard the EZ Rides are the cats ass but man the kit is twice the price. I guess you get what you pay for. My wife won't even consider riding in it, and my back isn't bad yet so it won't bother me as much unless it's like not having any suspension at all. Mainly just trying to get the fenders off my tires.

they sell a drop kit for like $25. Their boots are $5/piece, but none of the kits on RMS come with shock boots.

I have heard the EZ Rides are the cats ass but man the kit is twice the price.

It was an expensive lesson for me, bought the RC kit but eventually chucked the springs and shocks in the trash and got EZ-Rides and Gabriels.

The only charts floating around the internet for the spring rates are 10-15 years old. They likely did soften them up though because everyone has been complaining about them for years. What I find questionable here are those new style rear "blocks". They are just plates welded together.

And to be fair, there were springs that rode worse than Rough Country's. Rancho's were STIFF.

^ I agree about the blocks as well. I looked at the pic and wondered if they were just plates welded. My lift in the rear has blocks. They are real blocks not welded plates either.

I can get rear springs with that kit for like another $100 or less and skip the blocks, but they always seem to make the ass end of the truck stick up too high and look goofy until they settle.

I found a few posts on forums from around 2011 that said the "luxury ride" springs rode stiff but that's subjective. I'd contact RC and ask them what the rates are for the new springs vs. the old. Anything's possible, they could be an all new design or just the same old leaves with new sliders on the ends.
