Anyone else tried these? We got one at work and I decided to borrow it to try on 2 old dead car batteries and 3 lawnmower batteries that would not take a charge. All of them work like a charm afterwards.

Of course, none of them were swelled or damaged. The 2 car batteries needed fluid. All 5 of these would not take a charge from my standard battery charger.

I've read lower/mixed reviews on the battery tender that wally world sells so we stayed away from that one. Have read nothing but good reviews on the Battery Minder. Link below. We got the AGM model so we could do AGM batteries as well. Good thing....someone gave me 2 AGM batteries the same physical size as my lawnmower battery. They said they would not charge any more. These bad boys are $100 new! They are good to go now.

Northern Tool carries them as well. I plan to get one for me and cycle vehicle, mower, boat batteries once or twice a year.

Yes, I have mine mounted in my boat as an onboard charger. I can also run leads from it out to charge other batteries. Seems to produce a good deep long lasting charge.

When I drug my 77 out of the field after sitting for years, I hooked one to the battery and left it on most of the day. Battery is like brand new now.

Its surprising the difference in charges between a quick charge and a slow charger.

Next time I'm in, I'll take a look at the chargers we use at work.

Last week, I was given a deep cycle battery. Would not take a charge from regular charger or the rejuvinator. I understand the rejuvinator, but not the regular charger. After going back and for between the 2, finally the rejuvinator said bad cell.

Been reading up about bad cells. I've drained the acid and getting ready to put distilled water & epsom salt in it and charge it for a while to clean up the plates. I picked up 6 gts of battery acid from oreilly's for $13.

acid - $13
epsom salt - $5
baking soda (neutralize old acid) - $2
distilled water - $1

When I flipped it over to drain it, I could hear debris rattling around in the bottom.

See how this goes. I figured $20 is worth a shot on a $150 battery.
