Battery negative ground question..... again, sorry !

I have tried to look through posts on this but didn't find a good answer.
I know the negative battery cable "should" be grounded at the alternator bracket.
But.... now I have this nice Blueprint engine with the serpentine set up. It has really nice powder coated brackets.
I don't see a place to attach the negative cable.
So, what's my next best place to put the negative ground cable to the block?
Only good places I find are the trans mount bolts or a drilled out threaded hole by the oil filter mount.

Don't know if you can get to it now, but on my Vortec 350s the ground mounts on that bolt that you use on a carburetor engine, to hold the fuel pump pushrod in when you change the pump.

Thats how I have mine on my small block.

Looks like a perfectly good hole in the front of the driver side head.
Those are aluminum heads. I get mixed theories on grounding to aluminum........... Some say yes, some say no.

You can use any hole in the block. Front, back, either head, ect. Just be sure to use a large enough wire for the length, obviously shorter the better.

Alumm is better conducter than Steel or Cast iron, It is right up there with copper, Just put lots of grease on it.

Also I would do what Snoots posted in a different grounding thread.

Go with welding cable or marine cable.

I would go to the frame (red circle) then from the frame to any bolt on the engine. Use a 2g wire and you'll be good.

Thanks for pointing that grounding point out. It's already got the star washer and just needs a ground wire or wires bolted to it. @PeteJr Just remember that the star washer goes towards the frame and the connector(s) get sandwiched into the star washer.

Also make sure to wire brush the surface of the frame where the bolt goes through for a good connection and I usually respray over the bolt and connector to protect the metal from rust after.
