Hi guys,
Thinking about this and had an exstrainious'* weird odd goofy nerd thought for a test, and only a test, buy the absolute cheapest for one side, then the best Moog for the other side (most likely drivers side ;), give the same 2-3 hand grease pumps of Slick50 grease in each fitting which should just start to swell the boots. (or your preferred syn grease)
Log date and miles, inspect in 50 miles (photos and update for us), then 5k miles or every oil change (photos and update for us). Only a test for which would last longer, use at your own risk and on your own test track for safety reasons, always wear a helmet and safety glasses, and remember to wear good safety boots...lol.

For myself, I would want all Moog's best top of the line, then Oem top of the line.

I bought a complete full Moog front end part set for my 83 Toyota pickup, Koyo bearings, even Italian Brembo rotors and drums, it all sits here in my cabin due to the spine and hands quit working...sigh.
Still glad I had bought Moog, (and a Lot of Japan OEM other stuff) it is nice to look at and dream about lol. Oh well, the next guy will have a Ton of great parts for the future lol.

Either way, I appreciate High Quality, and usually, what you put in, is what you get out.
I've been doing a TON of research on all these parts, and it appears just about all the higher end parts are coming from Taiwan. Mevotech, some of the MOOG, and I think the Rare Parts are being made there.

I've seen the Alloy USA stuff recently. Looked to be pretty good, just didn't see where there were applicztions for vehicles other than jeeps.
Evidently The Jeep D30 axle shares ball joints with the 44 and 10 bolt hence Jeep.... just everybody else’s parts lol

@OkieFishMan, what’d you end up going with? I’m looking at the higher grade Mevotech or Delco Advantage. The former seems more appealing because I can’t reason spending a fortune for the Delco Professional, and I’m assuming the Advantage is borderline junk for the price.

Taiwan is like the Germany of chinesium. I've raced bikes since I was a tyke and all the high end carbon fiber used to be done here or Italy. now it's all Taiwan. we are talking $4000 frame sets and $2500 rims. all Taiwanese now. my frame and wheels both carry a lifetime warranty and I'm hard on my two wheeled stuff. just thought I'd throw that out there that Taiwanese stuff, when American made stuff isn't available, may be good. it's up to your eyes and others past experience to tell if it really is though.

although I'll admit, my first carbon trek that said made in Taiwan had me cringing at first, as I trust my ability to walk correctly for the rest of my life to the stuff. trek used to be all Waterloo, Wisconsin. that's why I was a loyalist to the brand. now I go with whatever looks to be the highest quality taiwanesium product...its the world we live in.

I actually haven't got anything done. I had gallbladder surgury the beginning of November and was good to go through the holidays, then the end of the first week of January I was rear ended by an illegal immigrant going 50mph. I was sitting at a stoplight. Needless to say, it slowed me down with a concussion, staples in my head, an abdominal wall hematoma, and so on. I'm recovering, but it'll probably be a bit before I'm back to crankin on the old square. Which sucks.....

If it gets to the point where I need to get this done before camping season, I'll take it to a shop I trust. I'm still undecided on the Mevotech or the Rare Parts. One of the two is going on mine.

Sorry I'm of little help.

That wreck has me really thinking about the safety of my old square, and the lack of head rests. I woulda been phucked if I'd been driving it when I got hit....
