the metal lines mounted on the frame are leaky and extremely rusty.
I don't have the extra cash to order a new steel line can i use rubber line like fuel injection hose from the tank to the pump?

I dont see why not, just make sure you secure it good enough so it doesnt move around too much.

Yep, for your low pressure fuel pump to run a carb you can and probably for TBI too, but I wouldn't do it that long for Vortec SFI. You could also buy a metal line and bend it yourself. Probably about the same price as rubber line. I've bought steel brake line that are straight and bend them to work. You can do the same for fuel line too.

I've made replacement steel fuel lines countless times, I only use rubber hose at the ends (at the tank and at the fuel pump). All you need is a few 60" sections of tubing, a couple unions, and a few feet of rubber hose. A nice tubing bender really helps, but if you work slow you can form the line by hand.

You could vent it in through a T fitting in your breather line, or you could run it into a ported vacuum fitting on your carburetor.

Makes me wonder if your OEM fuel pump didn't have an extra fitting on it originally. That should have been where that hose would have went if you don't have OEM evap canister. Pretty much, its just a return to the fuel tank from the fuel pump.

Charcoal cannisters are hooked up to ported vacuum, that would probably be your best bet.

You sure it's a bolt? '75 should have just a short little vent hose with a little valve stuck in the end of the hose. If it actually is a bolt, just replace it with one of the vent valves, like what you would find being used as an axle housing breather.

Advance Auto has some differential vent caps, could probably use one of those.

It's not going to be much different than that a small PCV valve. Essenrially that's about all it is anyway. Lets vented fumes get out one way, but not let moisture come back in.
