If im not mistaken don't the 3/4 ton 4 door burbs use 1 ton frames? If so should be a direct replacement... i hope.

Nope, 3/4 Burbs has 3/4 frames with the usual 1/2 and 3/4 rear perch spacing.

However I believe 3/4 ton C20 crew cabs did have a 1 ton frame and rear perch spacing. Besides that, only 1 tons had 1 ton perch spacing.

In what years ?

Yes they had a heavy frame but the spring perches are still the same as 3/4 or 1/2 tons

The patches are the same, they are just wider on the one tons. If you have access to a welder its fairly easy to move them, if not I'm not sure but I don't see why a shop wouldn't move/weld them back on for you.

There is also the option of putting the 4.11 guts in your existing housing, which the 14 bolt FF is one of the easiest axles to set up. So maybe you could take this as a learning opportunity

I'm thinking this will be my best option, was just trying to find a cheap bolt on option first. Any idea if the 4.56 carrier will work with 4.10 gears?

Unfortunately no. The carriers don't interchange between ratios. There is the 4.11 and down and the 4.56 and up. But if you have the whole 4.11 axle, you can just put that whole carrier in. If your worried about losing the Detroit don't sweat it they swap into an open carrier unlike others that are the carrier.

So just put the Detroit locker in the 4.11 carrier and put it in your existing housing and you'll be good to go.

The 14 FF Detroit locker uses an open carrier, so the locker goes in a stock open carrier. That's one of the luxuries of the 14 bolt.

You can swap the Detroit from a 4.11 and down carrier to a 4.56 and up carrier with no problem.

need your help again guys!

Got a lead on a possible m1028 donor truck that supposedly still has the dana 60 front axle. I only have 2 pictures, and neither of them is very good. But one shows kingpins instead of ball joints so thats a good sign!

What do you think, dana 60 or not?

yes that's it. If I was you id pull the cover and look for the trac-lock that should be in there.

it looks just like a open diff but if you look closely you should be a pack of clutches

Yea its got the overload springs. Plus data plate lists GVWR as 9400 instead of the m1008s 8800.
