i had a part time 4wd pick up, i didn't like the traction loss of the rear of the rain or the snow, and how hard it was to take a small radius turn in 4HI.

4 part time is probalby the best thing for you but is not answering to my needs.

The three permanent 4WD i had/have always did what i want them to do and it s enought for soft offroad.
What you're not understanding is that converting to full time 4x4, is not going to make it handle like an audi. That lack of turning radius you didn't like in 4 high in your part time truck will be a constant lack of turning radius in a full time truck.

Comparing a 40 year old truck to an Audi is foolish at best.

in my audi and my ex- jeep 5.9 GC, i feel the resistance in small turn, but the wheels doesn't jump.
As i said i my previous post, i won't try to convince you that full time is the best, i just ask for a question for a part of full time axle.

i'll make my own idea of the way it works, if it is too bad, i'll try something else.

road wolf that is a first design 3/4 ton front axle and hub. dana 44. it should be a large tube dana 44. might have to change your ubolt plates. btw how do you say road wolf in French. highdesertranger

road = route

so we could say "le loup de la route", but i choose this because it sounds like my first name : Rodolphe
