Interesting. Knowing this information, I guess my question then is what is the difference between all the gen i engines. I know I don't want to try an LS swap or TBI swap, but I am curious whether there is a difference between the 350 engine in a 1967 chevy truck vs a 1978 350 in a truck like mine? were there any performance upgrades done or are they all exactly the same year to year?
No...
I think it was 1967 the MAIN BEARINGS got bigger. Difference between a short or long water pump and the cylinder heads dont have "accessory holes" .... I think 1969 those changes were across the board .. Gotta watch 67-69 careful. Something about deck height or no? I'm not an expert but bearing spacers are sold to run the old crankshafts with....lot easier to find a badass old FORGED steel crank with small bearings. Just sayin, they're cheap.. If you was lookin to build a spinner.
A little spinner..
