There is a typo with the engine RPO. It says 5.0L (350 CID 2 BBL). I wonder which one it came with? A 5.0L is a 305, not a 350.

Yeah I noticed that too, it was a 305 my reasoning is the smog sticker says its a 305 and I think the vin does too.

Yeah, the RPO (LG9) indicates it came with a 305 as does the VIN.

From 1973 - 1980 the third digit of the VIN designates the engine type/size. The VIN above shows a G in the engine slot = a 305 with a 2 BBL carburetor:

That tag describes exactly what your truck came out of the factory with .
Red inside and outside, fleetside, deluxe interior, gauges, 5.0 2bbl with a 350 trans, vacuum power brakes, tinted glass, 5300 GVW, power steering, AM radio, tire size, spare tire size, etc ......

The one thing I don't see is the "rear axle ratio and if it has posi" .

I know things change from year to year, but I just looked at mine and it says "G01-Rear Axle - Standard". I dont know if that means anything to yall. They probably didnt put it on back then if it were a "standard" whatever that means.

If your truck originally had a 305, but now has a 350, you probably have a GM crate engines. I don't think Chevy every offered a GM 305 crate engine, so any time a replacement was purchased, the owner got a 350.
