I’ve never had a cel. (and yes, it does light up with ignition on so it’s not broken, lol) Currently running the stock AC Delco distributor but also have a MSD 8366 dizzy sitting on the shelf. That one is earmarked for another engine that I can never seem to get around to installing. The 8366 allows you to install different advance springs and stop bushings for custom timing curves, but I don’t know how the ecm would respond to that.

Ok, I'll jot your info down and give it a try after the wedding In 2 weeks, (gotta recoop funds)

I am looking this thread! I have has issues with this. Replaced the distributor wires plugs ecm. Still like to stall. Rebuild the tbi. Without replacing injectors. Ran great for awhile now CEL comes in and if runs like shut. Reset timing after distributor, u plugin the thinking advance if course. I have been wanting to hold out for a complete sniper setup

You talking about hooking up a typical MSD box or something else? I'm running a MSD 6A box with MSD 8226 coil. Using the 8876 wiring harness it was plug-and-play. Installed this in April 2008 and it's still going with zero problems.

I'm about to install this same setup. Would a MSD 6AL (part #6420) be the same be pretty much the same as a 6A? I think that's the only difference I have here. I'm getting the 8226 coil and the 8876 harness, so its fairly well plug and play. was just given this old 6AL and I'm hoping I can use it.

Found a cool old MSD video. I now under stand the differences and know this will work. Glad to know others have done similar set ups on here though. It's super cool!
