Any upgrade 'hacks' to the stock heater blower fan?

I put in a toggle switch, between the fan motor and the dash switch, so I can turn the fan OFF, when its cold. also keeps it from running all the time. Hi comes on regardless of toggle position. blue wire I think. I also used a clothes hanger rod, on brackets above the shoulder harness. then I hung clear plastic down behind the front seat. Redneck 1/2!! and yes I think AC fans are diff. than non-AC. Rod in AZ

Heater only truck, I put a toggle between this brown wire and it allowed it to turn off. I broke the panel, by actually just trying to slide the thing... wanted to control the speed and I just neeeded it on heat so I actuate the cable with hand fished in lol
you just guess the right one so its not cold

Just working on my heater box tonight before I install it and thought I would post some stuff on what I found and my new heater core.

The metal plate to the left I the second picture let alot of air blow past and was quite wrinkly when screw in. So I added some good two way tape and seamed to seal it up good. This is a non ac box so yours may differ.
