My 85 was bought new by my uncle Don in 85, we were sitting around a campfire drinking beer in 08 and he said come get it out of his yard. This thing was like a time capsule from the early 90's with the old school beer cans behind the seat (still back there). My favorite story about the K1500 is him slamming on the brakes and my ******* uncle bills head breaking the window. I love the truck.
My Dad has been driving the same C-10 forever, as long as I can remember. I remember being young and it was pretty close to a pristine hot rod truck just lacking a paint job. I remember being a little kid and flying down I-17 in Phoenix with him going 120 miles an hour in that thing. I blame the entire reason I bought the 454SS on his truck because deep down I have always wanted a 2 wheel drive hot rod like my dads truck. I have way to much history with that thing to type about but he did offer to give it to me if I help him get another truck pu together he can haul wood with. He talked about putting his body on a K10 frame and I lost my ****. Most likely, since I am balls deep in project cars now I might just drop the 85 off with all the sweet ass engine parts I got for it and let him finish her off. I will never get rid of my 85 as long as I live but I will trade it off to my Dad for his 76 so I could do some stuff to it.
I have a 5 year old son named Brandon I am unable to see, some day soon that should change. I would like to say I am going to give him my 454SS but besides me being buried in it he would probably just nail a telephone pole with it when he's 16 so I will just be buried in it and we could rebuild my wifes stupid galaxy in 10 years
