Glad to find this thread. I've been trying to get the heater working on my 75 Blazer and last night came across this same fuse holder on the firewall and broke the fuse when I tried to take it apart. Had no idea what size fuse or what it went to. My ammeter doesn't work either. Oddly enough I also have a wire cut on the inside of distribution box about 1 or 2 inches long but it's the top right corner.

Randy there are 2) 4a fuses as seen in the pic. It shows 3 fuses in dia., the duplicate (in red) only pertains if you have 2 pos. distribution blocks. The dia. is for a 73 but could be the same. My new AAW harness has the 2 fuses on opposite sides of engine, next to the firewall. The dia. shows the connection points. If the 76 is different, I apologize for the confusion. @Rick R , thanks for the reply. The second wire was cut at fuse block as you see and no second fuse holder. After all the input, we were under the impression that trying to re install the ammeter and have some semblance of reliable information was maybe a pipe dream. We could not get a voltmeter as everyone has been backordered for quite some time is why we were going to try and fix ammeter. He learned that in 76 they went to all volt meters and Easton decided he wanted to go that route. Finally got a new voltmeter yesterday from Classic Industries and started the jumper wire mod which we will finish Saturday if he does not have baseball.
We are just leaving the fuse out of the one ammeter line that we have to keep power from the mounting points in the cluster and stealing power for the voltmeter from the temp gauge and grounding it back there as well.
He chose this route as path of least resistance since we have to open cluster and replace fuel gauge that has a bad resistor as well

Thank for all the help. Will update if we get it all in this weekend

Finally took the time and replaced fuel gauge (bad resistor) and did the volt meter swap after getting gauge from Classic Industries. All went back together perfectly and works as advertised. That’s @RustyPile @DoubleDingo and @75gmck25 for all the insight and help as usual.
