Hi,

how can I crank my engine ('79 350 H.E.I.) without allowing it to start? Is there a fuse or a cable to disengage the ignition when cranking the engine with the starter?

Just unplug the plugs going to the nose of the distributor cap.

Disconnect the distributor.
