My journey started like most others. I was 8 or 9 years old, riding with a family member (uncle) in an 80's square body truck. Wanted one ever since. Years later, married, kids, steady job I set my sights on my project. Build or buy was a big decision, how much cash am I looking at spending???? The cash side of it was covered after strategically informing the wife that her vechicle (Lincoln mkx) might not be the safest thing to drive in the winter with our 2 boys. I offer my truck (Dodge ram) to her and the heated garage to park it in for the winter. By the time winter was over she wasn't so interested in her old Lincoln anymore, and suggested we sell it. Huh....."well honey, you keep the Dodge and I'll look around for an old truck as a project for me and the boys" **snap** (trap has sprung) Now do i build or buy. With very little selection in western Canada it took 6 months to find what I was looking for. It was built......and bagged. A solid build....10 years ago. Ended up with a k10 sitting on k30 running gear and a big smile on my face.

Glad to be here, looking forward to helping out where I can, and asking queations as they come.

Welcome my neighbor to the north! Nice truck. I've been thinking about those fender flares on mine. Figure it was one way to cut out some of the rust I have.

If I remember correctly you only end up cutting about an inch or so off the fender to install them.

Yeah, they do cover about half the marker lights. But the lights are still very visible at night.
