Aftermarket fuel tank

Where is the best place to get an aftermarket fuel tank that I can put in the frame rails under the bed? I know that LMC has one, but wondering if there are any other places that have something that would work.

Already very tired of the saddle tanks.

A lot of guys simply get a tank from a Blazer/Suburban and use that. No matter what tank you end up getting, there is going to be fab work to get it between the frame rails. And you need to figure out the fill part too. Somewhere on here is a thread about it I believe. http://www.gmsquarebody.com/forum/showthread.php?t=663

I got mine off of RockAuto and they seem to be good. No issues thus far.

Just ask Firebane. Let's see where do I start. I finally discovered that my gauge is operational, however it's not reading a fuel level of any kind in either tank. The sending units are working as far as I know, I've replaced the switch valve and the switch in the dash, which is wired correctly as far as I can tell. Still doesn't work.

Truck stopped 3 times this morning on my way to work due to a lack of fuel getting to the motor. Oh and my have a Carter electric fuel pump so that's not the problem.

One tank with no switch to have to deal with just might make me a happy man.

I did the tank swap to the 32 gallon blazer tank. It was really easy!

I would LOVE 32 gallons. This one 16 gallon tank in this k10 goes empty so quick its unbelievable. Especially coming from 2 20 gallon tanks in the c20

Yes, It was easy for me because of my home made step side box. I had a place to go with my spare and was able to fab up a filler hose mount. wherever I needed it. With a fleet side you will need to cut in a filler door unless there was an option for the filler behind the license plate.

OK cool. So I would need a tank, tank straps, sending unit, filler neck and cap.

Am I missing anything?

I see that Rock Auto has it all and it would be less than $200 bucks.

You will need to extend your lines as well. And i believe there was a cross member and upper mount bars or somthing like that.

Hold on.. You have a electric fuel pump on a 73? I think you REALLLLY need to explain your entire fuel system to us. Electric fuel pumps need a regulator as well as a return line usually.

If your truck is dying it could be vapor lock.
