Aftermarket door shells

So has anyone dealt with replacing their doors with aftermarket ones. I know oem are better but I'm wondering about fitment! I have one drivers door that is salvageable but the passenger inside has been hacked on an hit on outside, pulled and filled and has quite a bit of bondo on it, I'm thinking about buying two new doors, what do you think? What kind of fitment issues had anyone seen or know of?

Anything non-OEM you'll deal with some level of fitment issues. MOST can be worked to end up fitting alright but will take at least a little bit of work and tweaking on your end. When I did my doors 10 years ago or more I used LMC to get the doors. After some work they fit pretty well. The gap between the door and the front fenders isn't 100% perfect but they weren't perfect even from the factory back then so it is what it is There are other places the sell aftermarket doors as well, though.

Yeah I got a new tailgate that I'm gonna have to work on, passenger side sits almost flush with bedside and drivers side sits too far away from the bedside but the body lines are super close!

Yeah, that's pretty typical for a reproduction body panel. But that's the nature of the beast unless you want to pay out the nose for NOS or you get very lucky and find used OEM pieces in great shape.

I may just take a grinder to the passenger edge and take about a 1/8 to 1/4 inch off and have to grind the lower hinge portion on drivers side to get it to scoot left a little! I noticed the tailgate stops on that little cup and won't let it slide over more. If that makes sense!
