Dumb question here gents, ho does a guy remove the slack from the accelerator cable?
truck is an 83 K20, 350/TH400 and I have about an inch and a half of slack in the accelerator cable that keeps me from getting to WOT because the pedal hits the floorboard.
Short of replacing the cable, is there a way these can be adjusted to remove the slack? The carburetor end has a plastic guide and an eyelet that looks to be pressed in place with no adjustment. The end that goes through the accelerator pedal has a stop crimped in place over the end.
Can I just crimp a new stop in place once the slack is taken out?
School me.
