Hello everyone from from Oregon and beyond our borders. My name is Jim and I am in the process of doing a frame off restoration of a 1980 Chevy k20 with a 6.6 ltr power plant. It's a 2 door long bed that my wife's grandfather bought new in 1980. After he passed away it sat for over 10 years before it ended up in my hands. It has original 77k miles, th400 automatic transmission, 4WD, manual hubs, and 100% unmolested. Everything on this truck was factory. It has very little rust to speak of except every gasket leaked terribly which is why I decided to take it to the extreme and do it right. Along the way I will be posting pics of progress, and asking some question as I'm not sure how some things may function or work. I do have the manual for it though which should be a huge help...
Anyway, enough about me and lets get back to work.
Jim

Welcome Jim from NW Arizona.
Sounds like a very nice pickup you have. I'm assuming the 6.6L is a small block 400. I owned a '79 Silverado in the same configuration as your '80 model.
You'd better post several pictures before the griping starts.
