As the title says, I'm looking for a np241 from a 90 or 91, I need it because it uses vss instead of a cable driven speedo.

Im looking to do a solid axle swap on my s10, and want to change drop sides to run 1/2 ton axles instead of retubing a 1/2 ton to fit the s10....

Let me know if you have something, I'll pay price + shipping, but remember, if you ship, it must be 100% clear of all fluids or the postal service will get upset.

Why not run a 205? I had my 205 modded for a vss by ORD. Best of both worlds.

Why not run a 205? I had my 205 modded for a vss by ORD. Best of both worlds.
Only because finding a 205 that will bolt up to the 4l60e could be a hassle, maybe not.

Do you have any knowledge on modding a cable driven t case to work with a electrical speedometer?
Could you share your knowledge?

A 205 and adapter from behind a th350 will bolt up to an early (4bolt tail) 4L60e with a simple spacer and a minor trimming of the output shaft.

The 208 and 241 really aren't a bad case. They are reasonably strong, lightweight, have a deeper low range than a 205, and the factory shifter is very user friendly compared to a factory 205 shifter.

Was kinda my thought... I'm not running a 500+ HP truck here.
When the 4.3 quits Ill swap a 5.3 or 6L in, and we'll see if we can make that 500 HP, but for now, my 250 shouldn't kill a np208 with 4.56 gears behind and in front of it.

I just want to go back to trail riding. I miss that.

Edit: Ive killed 1 np208, behind a 6.2, low range, big tires. Lol

My Dakota Digital dash came with this adapter. Unscrew cable and screw this on.

They also have an inline adapter that gives you a vss signal and retains the mechanical cable.

I wished id known this before I had my 205 tailpiece modified. Now I'm putting in a GV overdrive and I'll be damned if it's adapter doesn't also have a vss output. So there's 3 ways to accomplish your goal. $37, $150 or $3000. Lol

I ended up running a drivers drop ford Dana 60 kingpin with a 4L60e and a np241c with a custom clocking ring from a gmt400 in my rig.
