I still think those new heads caused rod bearing to spin/spun.

eh maybe but a top end knock or tap and a bottom end are easy to tell apart most of the time just by the sound and where it's coming from.

you might possibly have a wiped cam or collapsed lifter. and if you crossed a wire on the truck you would know it by the back firing through the TBI when you press on the throttle and rough idle.

I got a small backfire through the intake under fast, hard accel. That's what made my mechanic think it's a lobe/lifeter. I can;t even bear the thought of tearing this thing apart again. :suicide:

I tried to pull plug wires one by one to try and narrow down to wichh cylinder it is but I get shocked to ****, and that's wearing leather gloves and rubber handled pliers. F that. :sad72:

sounds like a burnt valve to but it has a new head

It did the smae thing when I tried to adjust the timing, shocked the **** out of me with leather gloves on.

If I got shocked like that I'd probably start taking a baseball bat to it but that's how I deal with pain. For some reason pain instantly sets of my anger button. Not sure why :shrug:

89S,

I still got 350TBI engine and its still hooked up to the hoist. All I have to unbolt the trany and unhook the wiring harness from the trany.

I defiantely got pissed off and had to walk it off, f'n this and f'n that while I did so, lol. That **** scares me.
