I used a differential plug for a dodge, bought it from the parts store on the shelf.

This? It says transmission on it there, but it just said differential plug.

I got a Cummins oil drain plug from Autozone. It’s that same 22mm thread size. One had a gasket and one didn’t unfortunately, but I’ve got to get the tubes off the manifolds first...

Nice. Thanks. Soak with pb blaster and some heat with a torch worked for mine.

I soaked them earlier. I’ll get the torch and see if I can get them.

Yep, for future reference you want to get the oil drain plug for Dodge trucks. It came from Autozone, and the PN is 652886. Five and change a piece, and you’ll need two (for all the spectators out there). I tried a 22 mm thread brass fitting and plug from an oil field supply store here in town, but the threads were too coarse.

Gotta bump this little guy bc I will need a refresher on the plug when I get home so I can complete the smog pump removal properly. Either that or does anyone know what the thread pitch is on that ole Dodge oil plug? Anyone try to find a stick of all thread from a specialty supply?

Just go to the Zone and get you two of those plugs that have that part number. If I would have done that to begin with, it would have been pretty effortless. Are you still wanting headers? I got a pair that I was gonna use, but I did this and didn't wanna rock the boat any further. If you want them, I paid $75 if that seems reasonable to you. I'm going to Wesson on the seventh, and I'll be there for a few days so if you want me to bring them to NOLA, I can.

I was thinking headers but just had a new exhaust put on already and don't feel like bringing it back to the shop to have it redone. I don't think boss lady will really like that lol.

Roger that. Thanks for looking out though. Never know I may get bored one day and give you a shout and throw a few bucks your way.
