I have a truck stranded that I need help to get running.

Injector on driver side works perfect.

The injector on passenger side just stay wide open and never stops spraying fuel. I unplugged it and truck will run rough off just the working injector.

What can cause 1 injector to stay wide open and 1 to work perfectly fine?

I believe they are individually controlled in ecu so I can only assume one of the drivers is bad?

Each one has an A side and B side is there a way to temporarily wire it run correctly.

Gonna sound dumb, but just replace the bad injector? Swap them over, see if it does it on the other side. Then replace.

Highly unlikely it's a wiring problem causing it to spray wide open.

Poke each with a multimeter, and see if they each have the same voltage if that's your worry.

Only time I have seen this on a TBI was the MAP sensor. But it caused both injectors to go pig rich.

That's why I'm stuck. I dont understand it effecting only 1 side. Would think that if it's an ecu issue wouldn't be giving it a ground and wouldn't work at all. Versus filling up the throttle body in 3 seconds lol

Also if I unplug it then nothing leaks on that side so is definitely coming from injector spraying full force

Maybe the injector pod is the problem. Clogged open.

Fuel pressure is good?

Sorry dude, just bouncing ideas off you. Injector pod is about my last idea.
No need to apologize, I greatly appreciate it. I've been doing mechanic work for 20 years+ never seen anything like it. I'm going to pull it all off clean it up wanted to try to get it to the shop as it's on the beach at the moment. I might try tapping into other injector wire see if I can at least get it running enough to make it

CTS is the only other sensor I can think of.

Ground to that injector possibly bad.

TPS?

Edit: although that wouldn’t make much sense given the problem you’ve described.

Switch plugs around. Possibly driver in the ecu is stuck. If signal coming in solid instead of pulse, ecu likely to blame
