Cool. No problem. Thanks for the update. I had a chance to snag a Manual Steer box out of an 81 once in the Pull A Part. It was a friggin cold day, my hands were numb or I'd got it. I shoulda. I'm OK with PS, but for the race truck if I get there, I want a manual steer box. I'd even take one for my 4x4 too. You can honestly feel more of what your suspension is doing with a manual box.

I hope you kept all the good stuff, like those wheels, wiring harnesses etc. Still lots of parts to be salvaged on a truck like that.

Grabbed the diamond plating from the bed... Engine had the cash for clunkers **** poured in it... So most of that was useless.... Glovebox is an original 86 glovebox... Make me an offer

The Vin plate is pretty much useless isn't it if it was a cash for clunkers truck at one time? I assume that's what you meant huh? It's a junked VIN right? The axles were no good?

Those were on my Burb from The factory. PO said the lugs kept coming loose. That truck diesel?

That is the 85K10 that I'll be converting to 3/4 ton springs and axles. Yes, it WAS 6.2 originally. That's the truck that by VIN Wouldn't need smogged in Cali, and has the hydro boost, dual battery trays and the plastic layered on the firewall.

actually no it wasnt cash for clunkers... it was this kid at a junkyard who poured it in... he was pissed at his dad for some reason... i happed to be walking in and the dad was pissed and goes ill sell you this for 50$... so i scored big time. and no i need the vin for mine.... Because the guy didnt want it on the road for some reason... so im thinking he might have done an insurance scam or some ****.... id rather not go down to the rmv and find out

Yes, like those. It'd be nice just to have one more. Then I could at least put them on a pickup box trailer or something. Right now it's just a lawn ornament.

Whatever you do, just don't get discouraged and scrap the one you have. If anything, one of the guys who have a set might buy it off your for a few bucks to have a matching spare, this way they can have a 5 tire rotation instead of 4. I'll be using these on my K1500 since that truck pictured is going to be going to be going 8 lug.
