Ive got the 87 tanks and pollack FI rated valve in my 84. My only issue was the lines failing after about 5 years. Folks up here turned me to the gates barrier hose thats supposed to be tough. Im running short sections of that from the sending unit ports and the selector valve ports. Then adapting from pushlok fittings to -6an with stainless braid ptfe hose to make the run to the engine and back. If the parts are here by the weekend, ill show what i did.
can I contact you?. Send me a PM or I cand send you my #. Thanks

87 tanks, pollack 6 port switching valve, ep381 pumps, spectra sending units, factory steel lines, efi rated hose, Russel push lock fittings to AN adapters. Everything you need from Rock Auto and Summit/Jegs. I have an easy to make wire circuit that lets you switch the fuel pumps without hacking the OEM harness. OEM only switches the fuel level gauge and fuel port. It had no provision for electrical pumps. You got this bro, easy peasy.
Square, is this what I need? Thanks.

I wouldn't worry about it. The guys on the Edelbrock forum use them at 58 psi. However, except for drag racing every application requires a vacuum referenced regulator. You don't want to be pushing 58 psi at idle and part throttle. It'll be pig rich and the fuel map will be working hard to make it streetable. I run 43 psi on my pf4 and it drops to 30 or less at idle. PSI needs to be compatible with the injector size.

So nowhere it was said, but OP didnt state which 6.0,

If it was a gen 3 6.0, itll use vacuum manifold referenced regulation on a stock PCM

The PCM can be changed for non referenced. Alot of guys ive worked with do this.

If its a gen4 6.0, it wont use vacuum referenced regulation. Its within the PCM's injector parameters based on manifold pressure at what rate it flows.

(So is the gen 3, its just setup to rise and fall based on manifold pressure with the vacuum line that comes off the intake to the regulator)

@Doppleganger ,

Note, the common ground into the switch can be triggered by the efi output. That will kill the pumps in case of a crash, a nice safety feature. Also, leaving the switch in the middle and hiding it makes a nice security feature cause both pumps are disconnected.

87 tbi gas tank (they have these in dual tank on rock auto)
87 sending unit
Acdelco ep381

Or whatever pump you like. I'm running a 455 in my c10.

^^^^ What these guys said

'87 TBI tanks and senders retrofitted with EFI pumps
Pollack 6 port valve rated for 66PSI
Earls vaporguard fuel line and clamps
Made a steel return line to follow the stock supply line from the pollack valve across to the DS tank
Replaced the steel supply line to the engine with vaporguard so it would mate to the EFI system where I need
Added a vaporguard return line following the supply line
Added a heatshield between the exhaust and valve
Sleeved the supply line and return line with heat sleeve for heat and abrasion resistance
Bolted a GM fuel filter from a '98 GMT400 to the frame just before the lines head up to the manifold

I plan on using a similar switch setup except incorporate the fuel pump trigger from the PCM to the switch. Switch output will activate the relays which will pass power to the pump

This will allow the PCM to prime the pump for 3 seconds when the key is cycled.

This circuit does that.
