I used a 2WD box on mine to convert it to crossover steering when I did the front D60 but no they are not swappable by simply changing the pitman arm. Don't be surprised if you take the box off and pieces of frame fall out from behind it. Start the truck, reach through the fender well and twist the steering shaft and see if it is looseness at the pitman arm, delay between moving the steering shaft and pitman arm, or looseness where the box mounts on the frame. If none of the above, get your alignment checked. Toe-out of even 1/8" out of spec can cause you to do a lot of chasing to keep it between the lines.
