84 electrical issue.

I have searched looking for answers but don’t see anyone with my exact problem. Brakes and tail light and turn signals worked a week ago. Now when I use left or right directionals, only the front light up but don’t blink. Tail light directionals don’t do any thing. No brake lights but have tail lights. Hazards will blink in front only. The horn doesn’t work as well. Could this be just one part that needs to be replaced or a couple electrical gremlins that popped up at the same time?

I’d start by checking all the relevant fuses: HORN-DM, STOP/HAZ, TURN-B/U, and T/L CTSY. Check to see if they’re blown, and that’ll give you a place to start. I don’t think it’s the flashers, but that’s another component within your problem area. Had you do any work on the truck when it happened that might have caused a wire to get the insulation sheared off or get pinched?

No. Fuses are all good. Only thing I question right now is a gray, pink, blue , and green wires that go too a plug that isn’t connected to anything. Pink wire has power. I can’t find anything it would plug into

Some of the issue maybe due to a faulty flasher. There are 2 on most GMs. One on front of fuse box under dash, and 1 on the back side of same fuse box, if I recall correctly. I forget which is which when it comes to turn signal or hazard flashing though. (After looking at a few schematics, both look to be on front of box, caddy corner to each other) top left, supposed to hazard, bottom right the turn signals.

The rest of your issue could easily be in steering column, and what 1987 Jimmy was mentioning.

Taillights don't. They're through headlight switch. If the front parking & dash lights work when turned on, a good possibility is a bad ground in the back.

Just weird how everything happened at once. Or that you know of.

So if fuses are all good, it's possible the steering column is good area to check. Hazards, turn signals, brake, and horn all run in the column. Just under the wheel. You'll need to have the appropriate tools to get to it though. The wheel needs a puller and plate under it is spring loaded, which is the other tool you'll need to get to the top portion of turn signal/hazard/horn assembly.

Do you think you may have accidentally unplugged something while trying to figure out horn issue? Or something came loose? Make sure connectors are all connected. There should be 3?? Hmm. Ignition switch, on top, turn signal switch, which is on the mid side I guess. Long thin one. And NSS? I don't have any trucks to look at to be able to tell ya exactly
