I have 1981 stock with 15x 8: rally fit just fine also have a 1986 c 10 lowered 4: front and rear wheel hits lower control arm will will not turn if You start to tighten any ideas ; all the rims fit just fine on 1981 thank You

@J Knight is one of the knowledgeable folks on this issue. A lot depends on the spindles and the backspacing of the wheels.

You should be able to run 8in rallys on the front with a 2.5in drop spindle, the only issue you should have is when turning lock to lock the edge of the rim will grind on the lower control arm if it hasn't been trimmed.

A true 15x7 rally has less than 4in of back space so it would clear better than the 15x8 with 4.25in of back space.

I'm not 100% sure what your issue is based on your first post. Can you explain your problem with the 86?

J Night stock rally wheel 15x8 hits lower control arms Bell tec showed 2 1/2 and 31/2 on there web site I found post said this combo would work with lowered 4" they probably did not use drop spindle I will see if I can trim outer edge of lower control arm. also try a 15x7 wheel thank You for Your Help Richard

I doubt that both a spindle and coils were installed with stock rallys for fitment. Most people (including myself) opt to install larger diameter wheels in order to lower more than 3 inches up front due to the backspacing of the factory rallys. Your rallys limit the amount of drop you can obtain without clearance issues. I have a 5 front 7 rear drop on my 84...but I also have 20x8 front and 20x12 rears. I sold the rallys, beauty rings and caps for $800 which greatly offset the cost of new wheels and tires AND I dont have clearance issues.
