I'm with ya on it needing a quarter skin on that side.

yea it'd really need it on both sides. I've got more pin holes popping up around the torque box area as well so it just keeps adding up. I'm really considering a 1 piece floor pan, be alot of plug welds that way but still have a butt weld at the firewall or maybe flange and plug weld then fiberglass? But I'd get all the pans it needs the cross braces, torque boxes and all new. Right now there's gonna be alot of patch work on the floors in alot of spots. I'm not sure.

@bucket I know I had these posted in here but here they are aain this is some of the things that make me worry about the rest after actually tearing into the 1/4 panel patches and such. I think the last maybe on the rocker panel have to check it for their welds.

That worries me because you can see some filler on the door frame and not just the skin, so make me wonder if they just repaired some rust on the skin flange, or the door frame, not much hope on that but to repair the frame and complete the welds. I can handle doing some skins if need be.

I've got a couple more to post so hang in there....

this of course is that rear outer tail pan I know the inner is shot and wasn't really touched. I would be willing to beat with the seam sealer removed it looks exactly like this, no solid finished weld, maybe ground down maybe not, and just rusty steel not treated or anything.

and this is what IO'm worried abou ton the fenders, same thing I bet with filler removed it's nothing more then tacks ground down, and the TA fenders down low have a roll in them and they used flat steel as patches so there's no roll and the doors have it gone, 1/4's as well and we know why because of the stairstep patch, welds and tons of filer and I think they filled the door to match. Looks to me like rust in the lower front of the first pic still there, and how is it I see welds but yet see a rusted holy piece did they just lay it over for a pic? I can see good steel in behind. Also notice the inner brace looks as if it rouns over and is rotted away on that edge but yet F* it throw th eouter patch on aint nobody gonna see it. LOL

This junk some patchwork under neath and most likely not a solid weld just tacks that don't touch. Plus it must have had a huge dent the full length of the trunk.

They may not have been the ones who cut the brace but they did this patch, and that's where the cut brace is and these welds are the same tacks not meeting.

you can kind of see some of the rust showing before hand. I can see that this side looks to extend up past the patch as the patches are lower then the stock marker light bottom. I see filler in the top of this over the rust where the ground it back?

The 'before' photos would have been nice to have, if the work was actually done right.

Have you ground that Bondo out of the lower doors yet? Were they trying to just cover up rust holes and pitting?

I'm not even sure. I haven't touched the doors or fenders yet. I figure they are filled with filler because of that curve body line supposed to be at the bottom and since they used flat steel on the fenders, front 1/4's patch between door and tire, and then stair stepped the rear patch of the 1/4's right in that body curve, they realized and just filled it up. I'll have to dig into it later.

this is just the cut off crossmember that was cut and un attached anymore and most of the torque box section removed too.

you can see the peekaboo I found from the top showing thru where the underseat pan had rotted from the bottom up I guess since it was inside the torque box and held everything.

just the areas around the rear seat belt retractor/ end of the torque box. Notice how poking around the wheel well made it worse.

This is the area over on the driver's side, behind the torque box that's in the rear seat back panel that goes from under the rear seats to the trunk.

same as above but inside. You can also see the area below the seat mount that's bad, and the area between the 2 very pitted and some pin holes.

sorry for bad quality but this is the between the seat pan of the driver's side, it has holes scattered everywhere.

same pan a new spot that showed up

This is the area of the front driver's floor. As well as the toe board.

There's pin holes throughout, few in the actual overlap joint, some in behind and some up front in the toeboard, some larger. The larger ones are over the front brace or torque box of the front, subframe mount area.

pass. front floor and toeboard of course swiss cheese.

These are all the rear underseat pan on the pass. side. All around the seat belt retractor, the rearmost new piece I found rot in after this pan, and the inner 1/4 I found before. The second to last is the new area in that rear pan it was covered in seam sealer and lays on top the frame rail in back. The whole pan for this side has alot of pin holes and scale, most of the holes kind of show up as white dots in these crappy pics. Somebody recomend me a good camera to use that's cheap like under 150?
