I'm all for the loweing of a 2wd if you like lowered vehicles, but it should be against the law and any religion to lower a front straight axle suspension 4x4 truck. But since we discourage political (legal) and religious discussions I won't push the issue. If you wanted a lowered Blazer, sell your K5 and find you a C5 better known as a 2wd Blazer. Just sayin...

Yep, I'd keep it too. Just be lifting it instead of lowering it.

then bag that sumbish already!!!! :rocking: I'm of the mindset to raise or lift whatever you wanna do no matter if it's a 4wd or not. If you're planning on laying frame, though, that might be a lot more difficult with a 4wd ride but I'm all in on that project if you start it

You won't be able to get anywhere near low enough with a solid front axle to make bagging the truck worth it. All you'll end up doing is laying the frame (or oil pan) down on the axle. At most, the truck would end up looking like it has some seriously de-arched leaf springs on the front of it. Of course, all of this is moot since this thread isn't about your blazer.

More firebird pics!!!

:jester:

I'd swap out the front crossmember for a 2wd one.

:rotflmao: @ thinking I'd bag it with the solid axle still up front

Oil pan blockoff plate with some braded lines running from the oil pump to a oil storage tank

Just got to figure out how to make the sump collection work!
