Got my side cap bolts for the main caps in and torqued everything down.

Well I hope its all torqued down.

First time doing angle torquing



Also have a set of flat top pistons ordered.

This thing is never going to get built :jester:

not me I'd rather do the paint and body work myself, build the motor and install it all that fun stuff.

Really, its not so bad. You have 2 choices. Replace the floorpans or have powered and stopping via Flintstone !!! Could be good on the mpg, but not so sure the good mpg would outweigh all the shoes you'll be buying.
I've seen much worse. You have lots to work with there.

good thing it aint a t-top with them bad floors. They got replacement pans so you'll b alright.

nah tin and rivets, some duct tape, fiberglass, spray foam, resin, fiberglass mat or curtains, sheet metal screws, deck screws, or just drywall screws it'll work.

Oh don't forget a couple of road signs they works great LOL.

Don't bother with the Hobart 125 unit, get the 140. The 140 will be able to run a bead on steel up to 1/4" which is more than enough for just about anything you want to do on your Pontiac. Get a welding mask, gloves (at least), slag hammer and a bottle of argon with that welder and you'll be good to go. Oh, and go to the pull-a-part and snag a twisted fender or something that you can practice your welding on before you start in on your car. :grd:
