To pay bills and having a black 4 speed car with no A/C is pretty much useless around here.

Was it in the pictured condition when you paid $800 for it? That is a pretty solid car for 800! How much did you end up selling it for?

Yes, it only had 53,000 original miles. I bought it from the original owner in 2001 in Oregon, drove it to So. Cal, then to Ohio. It was originally white with a blue interior and he painted it flat black so no one really knew that it was a real SD car. I felt bad......For a few minutes since he also had a brand new WS6 6 speed to replace it.

let's just say it sold for a fair price before the market tanked. I could have bought about 30 nice SBs...

haha!!! That just might be the deal of the century man! You only fall into a deal like that a couple times in a lifetime. Those WS6's back then were pretty nice cars, too! I wouldn't have felt bad for him for too long!

wow a 455 hd, my old man had a 455 laying around and his buddy wanted to put it in his 78 trans am. They never got around to it. I think the one he had was a buick 455 though, said it came from a wildat. Does that even matter though it's still BOP, and would work I guess, it was the same one he had about 4 inches from being bolted into my mom's 80'ish regal, but we would have had to bust the a/c box to get it in. I woulda done it, fiberglass and tin can fix the heater box, but in the TA would have been awesome. it was a black bandit edition, but hardtop and auto, had the snowflake wheels too. Thing was rotted bad though, he eventually traded it for a ford 3/4 ton. it ran and drove perfectly, but had sat for years that I know of, he pulled it out when I got older and put new carpet in it, then painted all the seats with dollar rattle can gloss black, it stayed sticky forever lol. They were already black.

My old man had a 79-81 style TA with the same bird, but his was t-top and leaked, bought gaskets and they wouldn't fit, bought a trans from jasper and it sucked, he sent it back, was going to get it and a built 455 from them for it, but after the disappointment on the trans. he said screw it and left it alone. He painted it candy apple red too. it had gold/tan interior and was kinda ratty.

I freakin love em, wished I could find one to build.
