Some of those came with a hood scoop Like the Trans Ams and really nice for the times interior. Looks like you found a rare piece.

Iirc, that was the "Can-Am" model with stripes and a rear spoiler too.

@bucket is correct, the Can Am was the only A body to get a shaker. The Grand Am could get an optional NACA ducted hood like the GTO.

Those are ugly Ponchos that only Pontiac lovers can appreciate. If the original drive train is missing putting a modern one in there and makin it a daily would be sweet.

My dad had a 71 grand prix sj. Im probly the only one to say this but man yur 73 is fugly!! I appreciate your respect to save a rarity though.
