I was on BROTHERS TRUCKS website and called for a order. For front and rear
windsheild with chrome trim was $126 bucks. I told him to hold off and would call back. I called local glass shops and they want $18 bucks a piece.

Do the seals come from one place?? would there be a difference from
cheap and expensive seals?? If I have to pay the $$$$$$ for good seals
I will, But if I dont have to, I wont.

Where do you buy from?? or best place??

Maybe brothers truck has a GM licensed restoration / reproduction piece where the local glass place has a standard replacement. I'd drive my ass to the glass place and have a look at the seals. At the very least, the glass guy should stand by a product he sells and installs. Selling crap will make more warranty work for him.

Brothers is expensive...period. Chrome locking tab option is a few buck more than black regardless of where you purchase from. When I had safelite replace my windshield, the gasket with the chrome tab was $15

I went with the unit safelite provided since they warrantied the work against wind and rain leakage. I haven't had any problems in 4 years. The only problem was that they sent some 20year old installer, who was teying to convince me that he had to glue the windshield in along with the gasket. I called his shop and requested that they send out an older and experienced glass guy. When the older tech arrived he just chuckled at the young kid and taught him how to install the gasket style windshield.

I ordered a cheap windshield seal and it was 10'' longer as it should have been. Fortunately I have a shop in my area which does rubber welding so I could use the gasket.
With the money I had to pay for the rubber welding I could have bought a proper fitting gasket. Stupid me.
