This post is now here in the proper automatic transmission category. I’ll try to delete it from the manual transmission category.
1983 K5/ SBC350/4wd: I’m installing a new 700R4 trans and I’m in need new transmission lines. I’ve read several previous posts with different opinions on which types of lines would be best to use. Some say to install entire length factory pre-bent style hard lines, some say to use flex lines or rubber hose on the ends of hard lines or in between sections of hard lines. What’s the consensus for the best lines (quality, brand, material), configuration and size (O.D., I.D.) and length (5’, 7’) to use? I provided photos of options for reference purposes. BTW, the engine and trans are currently out of the vehicle which will make hard lines easier to install before installing the eng/trans combo. Thanks everyone!
