Hello
i am about to convert my 1987 from a manual stick shift, to an automatic.
the transmission came with a kickdown cable. the guy i got it from sold it CHEAP because 3rd gear burned out and began slipping.
i suspect, because he did not have any kind of lock-out switch.

for 2 reasons,
1- easier to install
2- simple manual electrical switch for OD on and OD off. no vacuum or anything.
who has done this before?
what did you chose and why?
hindsite being 20/20 what should I** do and not do when doing this?
thank you!

cheers!
