65 gmc stepside on a 87 chevy short bed

Would it be possible to put a gmc 65s stepside body onto the frame of a 87 Chevy short bed will the bolts line up enough to put it together.

It's been done, but I think you have to modify or move a couple frame brackets and use a few body lift pucks here and there.

I thought the question was if the cab and bed would bolt on. The bed should bolt right on and is basically the same as the later years. Only difference is the fenders, taillights and where holes are punched for those fenders and lights.
