Im building a 74 k20 and was curious what it would cost and how big of a job it would be to put a 5.9 in it

What kind of mechanical work are you used to? It would be a big job to some people, but just another swap for other people. 12 valve or 24 valve? Trans too? Total swap cost or just the purchase cost of the engine?

Seems like in a lot of areas, you can't touch a good running Cummins of any kind for less than 3k.

Ive done lots of motor swaps before and done some wiring here and there not the greatest on fab work though. First gen 12 valve would like to know about how much it would cost after I bought the motor and I was thinking of using the trans and t case from dodge.
